Underscoring the necessity for Information Assurance within distributed and federated networks, Tripod Technology Group, Inc. (TTG) announced today a comprehensive initiative to provide PKI services as the logical extension and enhancement to its existing and well established single-sign on and identity management offerings.
To lead this initiative, TTG has hired James Chappell and Garick Hamlin to assume the responsibilities of broadening TTG's PKI services offerings.
Biographies:
James Chappell has over 7 years in the Information Assurance field and he has played a large role in the ongoing Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) wide effort to develop and deploy a comprehensive interagency and international Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) system for strong electronic authentication encompassing physical access, logical access, and compliance with presidential directive Homeland Security Presidential Directive (HSPD12). Mr. Chappell graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics with a concentration in Computer Science from Rowan University.
Garick Hamlin has over 6 years in the Information Assurance field. Prior to joining TTG, Mr. Hamlin while at L3 Communications, completed a highly success first phase of the FAA Logical Access Control Pilot. The successful pilot, expanded on the previous logical access pilot, this new effort examined directory integration, PKI interoperability with the Federal Bridge, Personal Identity Verification (PIV) compliance, security, and physical access. This includes an ongoing effort to test and develop the Department of Transportation (DOT) smartcard, the DOT certificate profiles, the DOT certificate policy, DOT certificate practice statement, and the DOT PKI repository. Mr. Hamlin graduated from the State University of New York at Stony Brook with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry.
